Family Planning

The goal of family planning is to give women the option of preventing or delaying pregnancy. This allows them time to plan for a healthy outcome for both mom and baby. Family planning services include counseling, education, pre-conception care, screening and laboratory tests, and birth control options.

Family planning information and services help individuals control their overall health. It allows women to decide when to have children and gives them the option of being physically, emotionally, and financially prepared to take on the responsibility.
